Sweet Potato Patties

Sweet Potato Patties

Sweet potato patties are delicious healthy appetizer recipe in which boiled sweet potatoes and white potatoes is mixed with cilantro, chilies, onion and cumin and roasted until golden brown. It is very easy and pretty quick to make especially if you are using precooked sweet potatoes or a microwave to cook the potatoes.
Most of the people do not like the sweet flavor of sweet potatoes in savory or salty food recipe and I think the best and easy way which make these sweet potato patties so good is the spicy green chilies, fragrant cilantro and smoky cumin powder.

The cumin powder used in this recipe is roasted and it makes such a difference flavor wise. Do not substitute green chilies with red chilly powder because the fresh and spicy flavor of green chilies is what makes these sweet potato patties so good.
Sometimes I use these patties in chaat recipe instead of potato patties.
