Mint chocolate chip cookies are one of the most popular cookies in holiday season. It is pretty simple and basic cookie recipe which includes flour, butter, molasses, chocolate chip and mint extract. This cookie recipe might look simple but it is loaded with chocolaty minty goodness. Chocolate and mint are match made in heaven, whether it is mint chocolate mocha or mint chocolate icecream or mint chocolate chip cookies, this combination is so good.  This cookie is a perfect little dessert for me.

This mint chocolate chip cookies recipe might look simple but it is loaded with chocolaty minty goodness.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup of flour

  • 1 tsp of baking soda

  • 1/3 tsp of baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp of salt

  • 1/2 cup of sugar

  • 1/3 cup of molasses

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 cup of softened butter or coconut oil

  • 1 cup of mini semi-sweet chocolate chip

  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

  • 1/2 tsp of mint extract

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • Mix well flour, baking power, soda and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat butter, sugar, egg and molasses until it is well incorporated. Add vanilla and mint extract and mix well.
  • Now add flour mixture into wet ingredients little by little until it is well combined.
  • Add the chocolate chip and mix again.
  • Scoop out the dough with a ice cream scoop or just use the tablespoon and drop the dough on a cookie tray
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are brown. Take out the tray and let it cool for 3-5 minutes and then transfer cookies to cookie rack.
  • Mint chocolate chip cookies are done.

Notes

  • Store the cookies in an air tight container and it will stay fresh for a week.
