Carrot paratha

Carrot paratha is another healthy and easy Indian flatbread recipe. Sneaking in carrots with paratha is a smart choice to add veggies in your diet, especially with kids. This beautiful carrot paratha combines grated carrots with whole wheat flour which add a mild sweetness to this paratha.

Yield :- 10-12 carrot parathas
Ingredients for carrot parathas :-

  • 2 cups of whole wheat flour
  • 4-5 medium carrots
  • 1 tsp of oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • Oil/ghee for roasting

Method for carrot parathas :-

1. Finely chop the carrots in food processor or just grate it very finely.

2. In a bowl, mix well flour, oil, salt and carrots together. Now add milk little by little to make a smooth dough.(donot add all the milk at once).

3. Use more milk,if your dough is hard or more flour if it is sticky.

4. Let it rest for about 15-30 minutes.

5. Heat a griddle on medium heat. Divide the dough in equal lime size balls and flatten it out in circle or triangles or in any shape you like.

6. Roast the parathas with little oil on both sides until it is nice and brown and carrot paratha is done .

  • Serve carrot parathas with tomato chutney or any chutney you like ………..
