Apple raita is a sweet raita with health benefits of apple and yogurt together. Grated sweet apple combined with plain yogurt with some cardamon to make it even more sweet .

Ingredients

  • 1 medium Apple (grated about 3/4 cup)

  • 1.5 to 2 cups of lowfat plain yogurt

  • 1 tsp of roasted ground cumin

  • 1/4 tsp of freshly ground black pepper

  • Few mint sprigs

  • 1 tsp of any agave nectar or sugar

  • 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder

Directions

  • Beat yogurt with black pepper, cumin, cardamom and nectar, till it turns smooth and creamy.
  • Add grated apples and mix .
  • Garnish with sprigs of mint. Chill for about 1/2 to 1 hour and apple raita is ready to serve.
  • Serve with Plain or stuffed paratha or rice and dal.
