minutesSauteed Kale as the name indicates is a simple recipe in which Kale is sauteed with garlic and pepper.
Ingredients
1.5 lb of kale, washed
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
3/4 tsp of red pepper flakes or to taste
1/2 cup of vegetable stock or water
1/2 of lemon, juiced
1/2 Tbsp of olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Tear the kale leaves from its ribs and chop it fine. Discard the hard ribs.
- Pour olive oil in a cold pan and add garlic. Now turn on the heat to low and let the oil infuse garlic flavor.
- Now when the garlic starts to cook add kale, stock, red pepper, salt and pepper and mix.
- Put on the lid and let it cook over medium-high heat until the kale is slightly tender, then take off the lid and again cook until its liquid is almost evaporated.
- Drizzle lemon juice and serve. Serve sauteed kale with grilled chicken or fish .
