Tomato moru curry is a very simple and easy dish which goes really well with steamed rice and fried fish . Yogurt which is known as curd in India is very integral part of any meal and used in so many different ways in Southern India. It is perfect too as most of the Indian states are hot and humid and yogurt is a cooling and soothing food which is a boon when you are having a hot and spicy Indian food. Pulissery, pachadi, kichadi and moru curry are some of the very popular yogurt based dish of Kerala, each of which are made with variety of different vegetables and fruits.
Some people also add coconut paste into the tomato moru curry but my version of thakkali moru curry is without coconut and still it does not compromise the taste at all . This version is especially good when you want to have something light and easily digestible .The one and only risky part of making tomato moru curry or any yogurt based curries is to cook the yogurt sauce on a very low heat with continuous stirring else it can curdle.
So if you like tangy and creamy curries, then you will be happy to have this lovely yellow colored tomato moru curry .
